Good communication can solve some of life's toughest problems. Mediation is an opportunity to communicate in a way that there is often little time for in the normal press of our daily lives.  It provides participants with the ability to make clear their needs and interests in an environment that is safe and respectful, and allows them the possibility to come to an agreement that meets the interests of both sides.

I am trained in mediation, facilitation, environmental conflict resolutioin, crisis communications, community relations and strategic communications.  I have co-facilitated with some of the leading facilitators and mediators in the country.  I have participated in high-level environmental dispute resolution and workplace mediation, including Equal Employment Opportunity mediations.

Qualifications:

  • Certified in Advanced Dispute Resolution by Judy Mares-Dixon;
  • Certified in mediation by CDR Associates of Boulder, Colorado
  • Certified in Facilitation and Mediation of Public and Environmental Conflicts by CDR Associates
  • Certified in Graphic Facilitation from The Grove Consultants International
  • Certified in Fierce Conversations Leadership Training.

Experience:

  • Workplace and EEO mediations for the United States Department of Interior's Center for Alternate Dispute Resolution (CADR)
  • Environmental conflict resolution for the Intermountain Region, National Park Service
  • Facilitated tribal and intergovrenmental negotiations during the Sand Creek Massacre Site location project in Colorado
  • Volunteer mediator for Jefferson County Mediation Services in Golden, Colorado.

My career has included time working for the United States House of Representatives, the United States Senate, the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the National Park Service.
